The Sanctuary Private Estate has been designed in accordance with GreenSmart sustainability principles to facilitate passive solar design of homes on the estate.

The area surrounding the stunning Lake McKail has been landscaped using native vegetation to create a beautiful natural setting to be enjoyed by the local wildlife and local residents alike. Whilst the area was originally cleared farming land, existing trees have been retained throughout the estate. Additional trees have been planted within the parks and each home is provided with a street tree for the front garden - that's over 375 new trees.

In keeping with the local theme, the estate has been designed and created using predominately local labour and resources.
